What happens if an external provider uses an email that is already linked to XWMS?

XWMS asks you to verify the existing account first. After successful verification, the provider can be connected to that account instead of creating a duplicate account.

Why do I need to unlock my account for some actions?

Account unlock protects sensitive changes such as password changes, external login connections, subscription actions, privacy requests, and security settings.

Which verification method does XWMS use?

XWMS automatically uses the strongest available verification method for the account. If 2FA is active, you enter the authenticator code. If 2FA is not active, XWMS sends an email verification code.
